Are You Ready?  

She was gruff and unhappy.  Angry curse words flew from her mouth as she spoke on the phone to her friend. It's never easy having to stay in a place to recover from a medical issue.  Her behavior seemed to indicate that she didn't know God or that she possibly didn't even want to have anything to do with Him.  

Behind a curtain next to her, friends came to visit another lady who was also there to recover.  They visited together and then the friends prayed with her before they left.  As they walked past the gruff, unhappy woman to leave, she called out to them.  As they turned toward her, she asked them to pray for her, which they gladly did.  

So many times, we look at someone and come to certain conclusions about them---but we can only see what's on the outside.  We don't know what's going on inside someone's heart or mind.  On the outside, the gruff, unhappy woman didn't seem like she would be interested in prayer, but she was very much open to it...even craved it enough to ask people that she didn't know if they would pray for her.  

As we go through each day, remember that the way someone behaves on the outside may not tell the story of what is really happening on the inside.  Be ready to share Jesus or to pray with all you meet.  They may be longing to hear the good news that you already know.  

The Bible says:

"Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage---with great patience and careful instruction"    

2 Tim. 4:2

Are you ready?  

Look for opportunities to tell others about Jesus wherever you go.  

Perhaps, God has a divine appointment already prepared for you, even today, with someone who needs to know Him or be reminded of His love and care for them.  

"And then he told them, 'Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.' "  Mark 16:15

What in the World is Going On?

Dear Friends,

The world is very different from the way it was just a few months ago.  You may be wondering just what is happening.   I have good news!  You can know what is happening!

Friend, there is a God who loves you.  He knows all about you and wants you to know Him.  We are separated from God because of our sins--but God made a way for us to know Him, to be forgiven of our sins, and to not be separated from Him.  God sent Jesus, His Son, to the earth to save us all from our sins.   Jesus took the penalty for our sins and died for us on the cross.  He rose from the dead and is now alive in heaven.  If we don't accept Jesus as our Savior, we will go to hell when we die, but when we accept Jesus as our Savior, we will go to heaven when we die, and we'll live forever with Jesus.  God loves you.  He cares about everything that's going on in your life.  Give your heart to Him now.  

If you want to accept Jesus as your Savior, pray this prayer:  

Dear God, 

I know I'm a sinner.  Please forgive me for my sins.  I believe that Jesus is your Son and I accept Him as my personal Lord and Savior.  I believe that Jesus died for my sins and rose from the dead.  He is alive now. Please guide me and help me to do Your  will.  In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Merry Christmas!! 

 

Today we celebrate the birth of Jesus!!

 

Jesus was born to Mary and Joseph.  He grew up, became a man, taught people, died on a cross, and rose again.  He is alive today!  The Bible says that all of us have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, but Jesus came to die for us so that all who believe in Him would not perish but have everlasting life. 

 

 

Romans 3:23:   For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

 

John 3:16:   For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

 

 

 

There are no good deeds we can do to get to heaven.  The Bible says our salvation is a gift of God. 

 

Romans 6:23:   For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord

 

Ephesians 2:8, 9:  For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.

 

 

 

To know you're going to heaven, you just need to give your life to Jesus...accept Him as your Savior.   It is through Him that we are saved.   We never know what tomorrow will bring, so it's good to know that we know for sure where we are going to spend eternity. 

 

John 14:6:   Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 

 

If you want to make Jesus the Lord of your life and know for sure that you're going to heaven, pray the prayer below.

 

 

Pray:

Dear Lord Jesus,
I know I am a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness.
I believe you died for my sins and rose from the dead.
I trust and follow you as my Lord and Savior.
Guide my life and help me to do your will.
In your name, amen.

 

 

If you prayed that prayer, welcome to the family of God!!   : )   Remember to read your Bible, pray, go to a church that teaches the Bible, and tell others about Jesus!

You Are Loved

Today, wherever you are, however you feel, whatever is going on in your life, know that there is a God in heaven who loves you. 

He loves you!

We have all sinned.  God, the Father, sent Jesus His Son to die for our sins.  Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior.  Pray and ask Him to forgive your sins.  Invite Him to come into your heart, and He will. 

If you're not sure about God, ask Him to make Himself real to you.  Tell Him you want to know Him. 

The Bible says, "You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart."
Jer. 29:13

Pray to receive Jesus as your Savior.  Read the Bible everyday.  Talk to God each day by praying.  Go to a church that teaches the Bible.  Tell others about Jesus. 

God loves You!  He sees You!  He cares about You and everything that concerns you!
